July 4th is usually a pretty good time in Bandon, but nothing is listed on the Chamber's events calendar for that day. Is there a parade? Is there a dog show that weekend? Are there fireworks? How about the BBQ in the park? Could this be promoted, just a little? Perhaps some local businesses and/or restaurants have something special going moreJuly 4th is usually a pretty good time in Bandon, but nothing is listed on the Chamber's events calendar for that day. Is there a parade? Is there a dog show that weekend? Are there fireworks? How about the BBQ in the park? Could this be promoted, just a little? Perhaps some local businesses and/or restaurants have something special going on! Why doesn't the Chamber make this a wonderful weekend? Ideas--sand castle contest, kite flying, crabbing or fishing contest, a short (3K) run along the coast, entertainment at that great nautilus stage on First Street. Isn't it the Chamber's job to draw tourists in, as well as get the locals out and about (spending money)? less
