Owners, Bob Andrist & Kaye Bell have been Artisans/Lapidaries/Jewelers on the Southern Oregon Coast since locating here in the mid 1970's. Our work has been sold locally and to many shops around the country over the past 25 years. The Old City Jail, completed in September of 1949, was in use as a two-cell facility until the mid-60's. We began "doing our time" here in September of 1999 when we purchased the property and opened Jailhouse Rocks, "the biggest little rock shop" around! Visiting Hours are 11-5:30 Friday thru Tuesday-Closed Wednesday and Thursday.

The beaches in Bandon and surrounding area offer great opportunities for collecting Agates, Jaspers, Petrified Wood and even Fossils. You are always welcome to come in and share your finds, perhaps purchase a rock tumbler to polish your own treasures or shop our wide selection of nature's beautiful bounty from around the world.
